An error occurred while saving the comment fcchambers commentedIf this was an easy implementation (I'm not even close to a coder, so I wouldn't know), wouldn't this provide be a relatively easy work-around to the file-size issue?

If you buy a full licence, we may be able to afford to make it work for you ;-)

Nice suggestion, thanks. We’ll look at customisation and preferences after our first release.

When dealing with scanned documents in PDF, the output file should not be much bigger than the input
40 votesThanks for the suggestion. We currently re-encode the image into the new PDF, which may change its size. Was the original black and white or greyscale rather than colour?

Are you actively working on the "files get kinda big" after OCR? Any timelines?
Also, I haven't purchased a license yet...(Just double checking the implications of the file size issue... IE, if I'd need to purchase more storage and backup, "way too expensive" Acrobat might actually be cheaper for me <Sniff, because I like your product much better for my purposes...>
Also, It would be kinda cool if license holders got more votes for features... :)

Kind of a marketing/positioning comment here: I was drawn to this product primarily to make my PDFs searchable via spotlight... so in my case if 90% of the text is accurate, it would probably be enough for me! Elsewhere in the comments was a suggestion to pass the text to searchlight... I'm wondering if "stripped down" version where *all* it did was index a doc for seachlight, might have merit?
